Koliba Children’s Room

This space was designed for two girls (the older one is already at school and the younger one will be following in her footsteps in the near future). The main challenge in the design was to create a balanced environment that would provide each of the girls with sufficient space for learning, while also leaving a generous floor area for games and leisure activities. The colour palette was chosen with a sense of timelessness, so that it would remain fresh and pleasant as the years go by. A striking feature of the room is the guardrail on the top bunk, which was made to measure according to the client’s wishes from an original climbing rope, lending the space a sense of playfulness and individuality. The bespoke wallpaper from the Italian manufacturer Adriani e Rossi was tailored precisely to the interior, creating a unique visual experience. The entire project was realised as a bespoke solution as part of EKOMA’s custom manufacturing service, with an emphasis on originality, functionality and attention to detail.
